Top 3 live action performances (TV Shows)

Hey guys sorry for the long absence, but we at VGBM, are back and ready to do what we do best, talk random nerds stuff, from videogames, to books, to comics, to TV series and movies. We are coming back with our popular Top 3 series, and for this list, we are going to look at our favorite antagonist performance in a live action comic book TV series. Our list is going to consist of performance until May 2015, just in case some of you are not up to date with the latest shows.
Let’s begin!
1. Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Daredevil 2015)
Vincent D'Onofrio
In nearly a decade, the marvel cinematic universe has established itself as one of the major live action comic books universe ranging from over 10 movies and 4 different TV shows to date. One of these shows and a surprise hit from last year was Netflix Daredevil. Now we can all agree that Daredevil success comes from a lot different reasons may it be the storytelling or the pacing, but I have to admit that Vincent D’Onofrio’s take on the Kingpin was simply masterful. We are treated gradually to the development of the Kingpin a character who seems super socially awkward to the point he has trouble asking a woman to dinner to some of his rage burst in which Daredevil himself has been victim of. It’s true that for a comic book show it is very graphic, and violence plays a huge part in storytelling, but if you want good acting in a comic book show not only from Vincent D’onofrio but also a few minor characters I suggest you to check it out.

2. Matt Nable as Ra's Al Ghul (Arrow)
Matt Nable as Ra's Al Ghul
First I’m going to admit this, I am a big Arrow fan, I admit it’s taking a lot from Batman Begins and the usual wise cracking Oliver Queen has been replaced by a somewhat Bruce Wayne, but I am a big Arrow fan. So after putting this out of the way, I was so hyped when they announce of my favorite comic book characters as in Ra’s Al Ghul would appear, a bit disappointed they couldn’t get Liam Neeson, but still it was good news. After the announcement of Matt Nable, I was a bit scared because he was unknown to me and I believed Oded Fehr would have been a good choice. But from his debut to the last episode he appeared, the Australian actor masterfully fulfilled the shoes of the Demon’s Head. From the way he speaks to the way he moves, from the way he played both antagonist and mentor to Oliver, season 3 may not have been Arrow’s best but Matt Noble’s Ra’s Al Ghul has been to date Arrow’s best villain.
Liam Neeson almost reprise the role of Ra's Al Ghul in Arrow

3. Michael Rosenbaum s Lex Luthor (Smallville)
Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor
After 7 seven seasons and a Saturn award to boot, how can Michael Rosenbaum not be on this list. Not only that how can an antagonist from Smallville not be on this list. With that out of the way, we can all agree that his portrayal of Lex Luthor was legendary. From the complexity of his friendship with Clark, his obsession with finding out his secret, not to mention his rivalry with his own father. Lex Luthor character in Smallville was ever evolving at a point we weren’t sure at his role as antagonist. For all of this he deserves a spot on this list.
Lex and Clark, Allies or Enemies
That’s all for today, let me know in the comments which villain portrayal you guys enjoyed.
